Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information GenX Innovations Inc (“GenX,” “we,” “us”) collects through genxinnovations.io (the “site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
1. Who we are
GenX Innovations Inc is a Delaware corporation based in the Woodlawn Community of Chicago, Illinois. You can reach us about privacy at hello@genxinnovations.io or (312) 522-7619.
2. Information you give us
- Contact form. Your name (optional), email address, the topic you pick, and your message.
- Kickstarter notify-me form. Your email address, so we can tell you when the campaign opens.
- Email. Anything you choose to include when you email us directly.
Please do not send confidential invention ideas, trade secrets, or financial account details through the site’s forms.
3. Information collected automatically
- Hosting and security. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.
- Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic, such as page views and referring sites. It is designed to be privacy-first: it does not use cookies or local storage to track you, and we do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.
- Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
4. How we use information
- To read and respond to your messages.
- To email you about the Kickstarter launch and major campaign updates if you joined the notify list.
- To fulfill Kickstarter rewards and keep the records that requires.
- To keep the site secure and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
5. Service providers we use
We rely on a few outside services to run the site. They receive only what they need to do their job:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) relays contact and notify-me form submissions to our inbox.
- Cloudflare hosts the site, provides analytics, and forwards email sent to our genxinnovations.io addresses to the email account we use to run the company.
- Google Fonts serves the site’s fonts.
6. Kickstarter
If you back our campaign on Kickstarter, you do so on Kickstarter’s own service, under its terms and privacy policy. Kickstarter handles your payment details; we do not receive or store your card number. Kickstarter may share with us information such as your name, email address, pledge amount, reward tier, and (for physical rewards) a shipping address, which we use only to thank you and fulfill rewards.
7. We do not sell your information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law or to protect our rights and safety, with your permission, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).
8. How long we keep information
We keep messages as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep notify-list addresses until the campaign has launched and we no longer need them, or until you ask to be removed. We keep pledge and reward records as long as tax and accounting rules require.
9. Your choices
- To leave the notify list, reply to any of our emails or write to hello@genxinnovations.io.
- To ask what information we have about you, or to correct or delete it, email hello@genxinnovations.io. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
10. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States, and this policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable U.S. federal law. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
